The hot, humid summer is finally behind us, and the cool autumn breeze is starting to roll in. With the new season, VOLI has a fresh update to share!

Our first story is the refresh of all 26 Basic Voices! 🥳 From their visuals to their voices, quite a lot has changed. Shall we take a look together?

Voices inspired by everyday life.

26 Basic Voices

First, our voices are back with a fresh new look. 😉 The core concept behind this refresh was “everyday life.” We all move through our days in our own unique ways, and we wanted VOLI’s Basic Voices to reflect that same variety naturally. So we redesigned the characters with warm, familiar looks inspired by people you might meet in everyday life.

Be sure to give the previews a listen, too! The preview lines for all 26 voices have been refreshed as well, each rewritten around the same “everyday life” concept.

Even if you’re already familiar with VOLI, I think you’ll discover a different side of the voices you know. Take it from J! 😎

Today’s stars: Ihwa and Yuha

From time to time, I’ll pick one of VOLI’s voices to put in the spotlight and introduce to you. Think of them as Editor J’s personal picks. 😂

To kick things off, I’d like to introduce Ihwa and Yuha, two voices that have been getting especially positive feedback since the refresh.

Ihwa · Woman in her 20s · Audiobooks · ASMR · Relaxing Content

Let’s meet Ihwa first! Ihwa is a female voice in her 20s with a bright, high tone and a clear, delicate voice. Her natural intonation lets her move easily from lively conversations to calm, measured reading.

She’s especially well suited to content where emotion and atmosphere matter, including webtoons, female game characters, first-person narration, ASMR, and audiobooks. For this refresh, we brought out that side of Ihwa through the concept of a performer who can move freely across different moods.

Rather than keep describing it, why not hear it for yourself? 😆 We’ve prepared an Ihwa sample below, so give it a listen and see what makes her voice special!

Now, shall we meet Yuha? 😎 Yuha is a male voice in his 20s with an upbeat, lively tone and crisp pronunciation. His specialty is delivering lines with a natural, energetic rhythm.

Yuha is especially well suited to YouTube narration, Shorts, and gaming videos. He also works well when you want to add lively reactions to gameplay. For this refresh, we brought that personality to life through the look of a friendly young gamer.
